This one-year program is available to high school juniors and seniors during the 2017-2018 school year.

The program will be located at:

Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department from 8:30 am-11:30 am each school day.

Transportation to and from class will be provided.

Confined Space Rescue in Lexington Park

Fire and EMS volunteers from the Second District Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad were dispatched with Bay District Volunteer Fire Department, Patuxent River Naval Air Station Fire Department, Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department and the Lexington Park Rescue Squad to the AMC theater on FDR Boulevard for a confined space rescue with two people reported trapped Saturday morning February 18th.

Second District Volunteer Fire Dept. & Rescue Squad to Bolster Fire Prevention Efforts with FM Global Grant

VALLEY LEE, Md.—The Second District Volunteer Fire Dept and Rescue Squad received a US$2,594 fire prevention grant from FM Global, one of the world’s largest commercial property insurers, Monday evening December 19., 2016.

Members Stephanie Boyd and Fire Lieutenant/Fire Prevention Officer Heather Bean submitted the grant application in July and they were notified of the grant award November 2, 2016.
