MARCH 04 - SMOKE ALARM SAFETY TIPS

Smoke alarms save lives. Almost two-thirds of home fire deaths resulted from fires in homes with no smoke alarms or no working smoke alarms. When there is a fire, smoke spreads fast and you need smoke alarms to give you time to get out.

Working Vehicle Fire in Tall Timbers

MARCH 03 - On March 3rd at approximately 18:39 company 6 was alerted for a vehicle fire in Tall Timbers. Within a minute Engine 61 responded with Lieutenant (Barnes SR) and 6. Engine 61 arrived on scene with a confirmed working vehicle fire. Engine 63 responded with a total of 4. Upon arrival of Engine 63, Lt. MVA on Rt.249 near Abells Tavern

MARCH 02 - On March 2nd at approximately 17:48 Company 6 FIRE/EMS was dispatched for an MVA on Rt. 249 in front of Abells Tavern. Within a minute, Chief 6 marked up en-route to the scene, along with Engine 62, Lieutenant Windsor and 6, and both AMB. 68 and AMB. 69. Engine 61 then responded with Chief 6A and 6. FEBRUARY 24 - 02.24.2010; approximately 0430: Company 6 FIRE and EMS units were dispatched to Drayden Road/Flat Iron Rd on report of a one-car collision with possible entrapment. Within minutes Rescue/Engine 62 marked up with three personnel under the direction of Assistant Chief F. Bean; followed within seconds by ambulance 69.
