Congrats on your new Fire Truck... Looks great... One more thing that is real important to me due to I lost a friend after he parked his car in a garrage and for got to turn the engine off... He died from CARBON MONXIDE Poisioning... PLEASE put carbon Monoxide Dectors in each and every Place that people will have access to for paper work or sleep... Also please spread the word through the other Fire Depts and Rescue Squads... It may save a members life and that members life may be your's... Thanks a lot,,, Dennis Mayor Former member of RVFD and RVRS

Welcome ALL!! Bit by a snake? In a dog fight? Poison spider bite you? How do you treat a penetrating injury? We are privileged to have Kyle Rambo (and friends –snakes), Conservation Director of Patuxent Naval Air Station, join us for a lecture on Hazards in Nature, at our drill 7/19/11 @ 19:00. Don’t miss this very interesting Lecture and know how to prepare for all Natural Hazards.

Like the website. Keep up the good work on it and have an nice thanksgiving holiday.
I saw that you have around 1.600 incidents a year. How do you manage this only with volunteers? Usually in germany, if you have more than 500 incidents a year you will have professional firefighers.
Great site guys. Just stopping by to say hi! I am a firefighter myself for 16 yrs. I also own a graphics business. I do vinyl decals, can koozies, etc. I have tons of firefighter graphics that i ship all over the country.
Keep up the good work guys. -Brad

What a fine looking bunch of guys and gals in the local paper on Friday. Best wishes to all and I'm sure that the department is proud to have all that talent leading them into the future. That movie star behind the shades (Joe Scrivener) really looked the part. I just love that guy. That father and son team (Joe and Mike) are what the volunteer fire service is all about and I know that Joe is so proud of Mike following in his footsteps. That new safety officer (J.P.) ain't to shabby either. If there was any place else that I could live and be a fireman it would be down in the valley of the 2nd. So many fond memories of all of you.

Just wanted to say thank you for a job well done with my sister yesterday after her mva. If it weren't for you we may not be blessed with her today! Shes recovering well and can't wait to get back home to the fire house and the rescue squad! Thank you again for your service, its wonderful to know how hard a true volunteer will work!

First off let me say that another legend of the fire service has departed this life on a journey to another better one. I have know Bobby for many, many years and over those years we have fought many fires together with the guys and gals of the "Valley" and those times I will cherish for the rest of my life here on earth. It was so good to see Bobby back in the action as your Water Supply Officer and I don't think there was a better person for the job. His voice was easily recognizable on the radio and you knew that when you heard that voice on a call water supply would be the least of your worries. I know that there are many in your department that will benefit from the years of service that Bobby gave to the department that he so loved. So in closing let me offer my deepest condolences to all of you but I know that Bobby is not suffering anymore and he has joined a great bunch of firefighters that have gone before him. I know that they along with God have welcomed him with open arms. Rest in peace my friend until we meet again.

Just a note to send a very special thank you to the members of the Valley Lee Rescue Squad and Fire Department for the awesome care they provided to our son Michael Norris - after a car accident on June 18th. Your people are great - and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your wonderful care and genuine concern.
A very special thank you to those who were on the ambulance and helped to keep us calm at a very scary time. Thanks so very much! :-)
