Vehicle into a tree

02.24.2010; approximately 0430: Company 6 FIRE and EMS units were dispatched to Drayden Road/Flat Iron Rd on report of a one-car collision with possible entrapment. Within minutes Rescue/Engine 62 marked up with three personnel under the direction of Assistant Chief F. Bean; followed within seconds by ambulance 69. Upon arrival and scene assessment, Chief Henderson determined heavy entrapment and called for dispatch of squad 3 for assistance and for a Helo. Upon arrival of engine 63, 2 personnel were directed to assist the engine 62 crew and the remainder set up the LZ at the fire house. Once extracted the patient was transported by ambulance to the waiting helicopter. Engine 62 remained on scene providing lighting to police. Return in service: 0645.
