On December 2, 2022, the Second District VFD&RS, Inc. held first Christmas Tree Lighting, which we plan on doing every year from this point onward. There were many happy children with smiling faces as well as cheerful adults. Some favorite celebrities were Santa and Mrs. Claus, Sparky, and the Grinch. We want to extend our thanks to all of our wonderful members who planned this event, decorated, and came out to make it happen. A huge shout out to the non-members from the community who also assisted us with the festivities. A special thanks also to the Harry Lundeberg School of Seamanship for supplying us with a van and driver for shuttling our attendees to and from remote parking areas.
