On Wednesday, December 20, HazMat 18 Assistant Chief Brendan Abell brought the HazMat unit to SDVFDRS to conduct training. Chief Abell went over new decontamination equipment on the unit including new products for neutralizing different agents and chemicals, setting up rapid decontamination equipment, and deploying the new decontamination inflatable tent.

Members went through a realistic scenario where responders were introduced to a contaminant in their level "A" entry suits and went through decontamination procedures.
