Second District Volunteers responded to a woods fire reportedly threatening a structure on Hewitt Road in Valley Lee. Units arrived to find a 20x20 area of woods on fire, not threatening any structures. The fire was quickly extinguished with the bumper line off of Engine 61. Tanker 63 supplied water and Brush 6 assisted with fire attack utilizing rakes and shovels. SMECO was requested to assess damage to a telephone pole. Units returned to the station to clean up and return to service.
