| This week, members of the Second District Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad teamed up with the Maryland State Police Aviation Command – Trooper 7 for a joint training drill focused on patient handover procedures, rescue coordination, and aircraft safety. 🚁
Crews worked side by side with the Trooper 7 flight team to review landing zone setup, aircraft hazard awareness, and the safe transfer of patients from ground EMS to air medical transport. The opportunity to learn directly from Trooper 7’s knowledgeable crew was incredibly valuable and helped strengthen our teamwork for real-life emergencies where every second counts. ⏱️
